How to travel from Marrakech to Chefchaouen
It is about 580 km from Marrakech to Chefchaouen via the main highway and the cities of Casablanca and Rabat. You should expect a driving time of about 7 hours by motorway.

By bus
From Marrakech to Casablanca (3.5 hours for about 10 Euro), then from Casablanca to Chefchaouen (7 hours for about 20 Euro), via the CTM line.
CTM tickets can be purchased online, but we strongly recommend that you buy your tickets at the station.
By car
Approximately 7 hours driving time.
You need to take the road to the Marrakech motorway exit to Casablanca.
Expect to pay Dhs 150 in motorway tolls between Marrakech and Kenitra. It is at Kenitra where you need to exit the motorway and take the national road to Chefchaouen.

The price of diesel is Dh9 (less than 1 Euro) per litre. Petrol is about Dh10.50 (1 Euro).

By train
Approximately 11 hours driving time.
Meet at the train station in Marrakech. You have a train every 4 hours to Casablanca (Casa Voyageurs station)
Duration of 3 hours. Ticket price 110 Dhs (10 Euro).
In Casablanca (Gare Casa Voyageurs), you have to go to the CTM bus station, by taxi or by tram.
At the CTM you have two buses a day going to Chefchaouen. Ticket price: 170 Dhs (15 Euro). Duration of the journey: about 7 hours.
By plane
4 hours (not including time spent in airports)
Air Arabia offers flights for less than 50 Euro (return) from Marrakech (RAK) to Tangier (TNG). Flight time: 50 minutes.
Then you have to take a CTM bus to Chefchaouen. You have 2 buses per day from 12:15, for 50 Dhs (5 Euro). (about 3 hours drive).
