How to travel from Fez to Chefchaouen

The distance between Fez and Chefchaouen is about 128 km. The road between the two cities is generally good. You should expect to drive about 4 hours by bus or car.

Fez airport is also one of the closest airports after Tangier to Chefchaouen.

By bus

About 4 hours, for no more than 10 Euro, through the CTM line. The first bus leaves at 8am and arrives in Chefchaouen at 12pm. The second bus leaves at 11am and arrives at 3pm.

CTM tickets can be purchased online, but we strongly recommend that you buy your tickets at the station.

By car

Approximately 3.5 hours driving time. You must take the main road, namely Departure from Fez to Oulad Jerrar – Jorf El Melha – Ouazzane – Rihana – Derdara – Chefchaouen

The price of diesel is 9 Dh (less than 1 Euro) per litre. Petrol is about Dh10.50 (1 Euro).
